The mandatory DGPT certification of the wireless products import to the Indonesia was implemented from June, 2009; the certification rules forbid the oversea companies be the type approval licensee. And the low power equipment safety not within the mandatory requirements, but the 2.4GH and 5GHz wireless in the mandatory requirements, need the POSTEL certification.
In case of the oversea companies apply for the Indonesia certification; they should authorize an Indonesia local company as the certificate licensee. That Indonesia local company could be the local wholesale or local agency of the oversea company .（need to take the test in Indonesia）The original type approval certificate which issued by DGPT has a little changed. The overloaded regulation operation of the former DGPT has been divided into two new organizations in the beginning of 2011, They are——PPI(Direktorat Jenderal Penyelenggaraan Pos dan Informatika，Directorate General of Posts and Informatics Operations) and SDPPI(Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya Perangkat Pos dan Informatika，Directorate General of Posts and Informatics Resources). These new organizations have divided the former DGPT overloading regulation operation and built a set of new laws and regulations business process that more smoothly and concentrated in their new structure. The name of the current organization is different with the name on the original DGPT issued type approval certificate, so the product marking should change to the new designation abbreviation.
