The shipping certificate CNCA and BV inspection are important when exporting to the Angola, Rwanda and Lobito. Without the CNCA, the goods can not be picked up at the destination port while the fine of several thousand dollars will be paid for the lack of BV inspection.

2. Introduction of CNCA shipping certificate

CNCA is short for the Conselho Nacional de Carregadores de Angola which is regulated by the Angola government. It is used when taking delivery of goods with the packing list and can be managed by the consigner or the middleman.

3. Application procedures of BV

1) Applicant delivers the detailed data to the consignee

2) The consignee apply to the Angola customs

3) The customs will allocate a serial number to consignee which combines the AGO start with numbers behind, e.g. AGO 2008 338191.

4) Consigner will go the local body for number check

5) The body will give the consigner an application form and related inspection direction if finding the number available

6) The applicant delivers the packing list, invoice, application sheet, etc.

7) The body will arrange the BV factory audit

Notes: the goods should be in factory early for waiting the inspectors. If not, the deference of goods and the unfeasible inspection operation after 2 hours since the inspectors coming, then the extra fees will be needed.

4. Distinguishing the authenticity of CNCA

1) check via the transportation associate of the consigner in Angola

2) the shipping company can shows the original bill of lading after offering the serial number and the copy of CNCA.
