1. Introduction of SASO certification
SASO is the abbreviation of Saudi Arabian Standards Organization which is responsible for the formulation and approval of national standards for all commodities and products as well as standards concerned with metrology, calibration, marking and identification, etc. The SASO standards are applicable to both of the foreign imports and domestic products.
The SASO certificate is required by industry and commerce ministry of Saudi Arabia and SASO when the regulated products are cleared through the Saudi customs. For the absence of the SASO certificate, three ways has provided by ICCP to exporters and manufacturers for granting COC certificate pursuant to the characteristics of products, the degree of standards conformity and frequency of export activities.

With the complete package of papers, the costs are calculated as per FOB value.
6. Certification period
With the complete papers and GCC certificate in validity, the SASO clearance certificate will be obtained around 10-15 working days after physical inspection.
7. SASO certificate validity
The SASO certificate is valid only for once as which should be reapplied for every batch of consignment.
