1. Introduction
PVOC is a new solution for replacing of the re-shipment inspection (PSI) via Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS). The test report or certificate should confirm the product meeting to the Kenyan national standards or other approved equivalent national standards. Otherwise, the products will be inspected at the Kenyan port leading to delay or even refusal when finding the goods unqualified.

2. Certificate method
Pre-shipment Compliance Verification
The CoC certificate is granted when passing the pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and pre-shipment test (PST).

1) Packing list
2) Proforma invoices
3) RFC application form
4) Label picture
5) Outer packing picture
6) Copy of bill lading
7) Eligible test report issued by the national CNAS qualification lab
8) IDF code
4. Procedures
1) Testing samples provide. The exporters also should fill completely the Request for Certification (Republic of Iraq) (RFC), proforma invoices and packing list.
2) Pre-shipment inspection is carried out after test by the inspection office closest to the ckeck site.
3) Exporter hands in the final papers after the inspection.
4) Certificate issue.
5. Certification period
The PVOC certificate for the customs clearance will be ready in 15 working days after passing the inspection.
