S.O. 1172(E). –为更好的执行印度标准法案1986（1986-63）所授予的权利，印度中央政府在咨询印度标准局BIS后，由印度工商部（工业政策和促进部）于2003年2月17日制定以下修正令（S.O. 189(E)）：
1. (1) 该法令可以被称为电线，电缆，电器和保护装置及其附件（质量控制）修正令，2005
(2) 该修正令应在此官方公报公告18个月后正式生效
2. 在电线，电缆，电器和保护装置及其附件（质量控制）修正令，2003中，序列号7之后及其相应的条目需相应的被取代，具体如下: -

ORDER
New Delhi, the 22nd August, 2005
S.O. 1172(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), the Central Government after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards hereby makes following further amendments in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) number S.O. 189(E), dated the 17th February, 2003, namely: -
1. (1) This Order may be called the Electrical Wires, Cables, Appliances and Protection Devices and Accessories (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2005.
(2) It shall come into force after eighteen months from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Electrical Wires, Cables, Appliances and Protection Devices and Accessories (Quality Control) Order, 2003, after serial number 7 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted namely: -
