India communications and information technology department issued the “Electronics and information technology products (mandatory registration requirements) act, 2012”on September 7, 2012.the effective date of the act is March 7, 2013,and the products not conform to the act can not enter the Indian market, the products within the control scope must get the BIS registration license before sale.
The products covered by the act including: Electronic games, laptops , desktop computers, plasma LED TV with screen size in 32 inch and above, the disc players with loudspeakers and the input power is 200 w and above, microwave oven, printers, plotters, scanners, wireless keyboard, set-top boxes, etc details see the company website certification board.
